The Rockies managed to secure 5 hits throughout the game but struggled to convert these opportunities into runs, scoring only twice. The team's batting average stood at .156 for this encounter, with an on-base plus slugging (OPS) of .531. Notably, they hit two home runs and had three extra-base hits in total which highlighted their potential for power hitting despite the low scoring.

Elias Díaz and Hunter Goodman were standout performers for the Rockies. Díaz hit successfully in one out of his three at-bats achieving an on-base percentage (OBP) of .333 and an OPS of .666. Goodman made a significant impact by hitting a home run and driving in one run with an impressive batting average of .667 and an OPS of 2.334.

On the pitching side for Colorado, Tanner Gordon delivered a strong start by maintaining an earned run average (ERA) of 1.5 over six innings pitched which limited the Padres' scoring opportunities significantly during his time on the mound. His performance was supported by Angel Chivilli from the bullpen who kept his ERA at 0.0 across his appearance.

The Padres secured their victory through timely hitting despite also managing only five hits throughout nine innings but capitalized effectively to score three runs against Colorado's pitchers.
