First Inning

The game began with promise for the Rockies as they managed to score their only run in the first inning. The inning saw two hits from their lineup, setting an early tone that hinted at potential momentum. However, this initial spark was quickly overshadowed by a strong response from the Rangers. The home team capitalized on three hits to bring in three runs during their half of the inning, establishing an early lead that they would not relinquish.

Middle Innings

As both teams settled into their rhythms through innings two to six, pitching became more dominant on both sides. For Colorado, starting pitcher Kyle Freeland delivered a solid performance despite allowing three runs early on. His control over his pitches was evident as he struck out five batters and maintained a respectable WHIP of 1.1667 across six innings pitched.

With only five total hits throughout nine innings and no additional runs scored beyond their initial burst, it became clear that breaking through would be difficult against Texas' disciplined pitching staff.
