Several players stood out for their contributions in this victory for Kansas City. Robert Witt Jr., playing shortstop, had an outstanding performance at bat with an average of .667 including hitting a home run every three at-bats which significantly contributed to his OPS of 2.6 for this game.


Maikel Garcia also made notable contributions with his bat as well as defensively at third base where he maintained a perfect fielding percentage alongside contributing offensively with an OPS of 1.167.

Lucas Erceg's relief pitching was flawless; he did not allow any runs while striking out batters at an impressive rate of eighteen strikeouts per nine innings pitched which played a crucial role in keeping Pittsburgh's hitters at bay during critical moments of the game.
