The Royals showcased an impressive pitching performance, with starter Seth Lugo leading the charge. Lugo's command on the mound was evident as he maintained an earned run average of 0.0 and allowed only three hits over eight innings. His ability to keep Houston's batters at bay was crucial in securing Kansas City's shutout victory.


Offensively, Drew Waters stood out for KC with a batting average of .667, contributing significantly to their nine hits overall. Hunter Renfroe also played a pivotal role by driving in one of the two runs scored by KC.

Astros Struggle at Bat


The Astros faced challenges throughout the night as they struggled against KC's pitchers. Despite their efforts, Houston managed only three hits and failed to capitalize on scoring opportunities presented during key moments of play.
