The game started off as a pitcher's duel with both teams held scoreless through the first three innings. The Tigers managed to get hits in each of the first three innings but couldn't capitalize on these opportunities. The fourth and fifth innings saw similar patterns, with both teams unable to break through defensively. However, it was in the seventh inning that the Tigers' bats came alive in spectacular fashion. They amassed six hits and scored six runs in what turned out to be a game-defining inning. This surge was complemented by another two runs in the eighth inning off four hits.

Throughout this contest, Detroit showcased their hitting capabilities by accumulating fifteen hits and maintaining an impressive .366 batting average as a team. Their disciplined approach at the plate was evident from their .413 on-base percentage (OBP) and 1.023 on-base plus slugging (OPS). Notably, they were able to convert six out of eighteen chances with runners in scoring position (RISP), demonstrating clutch performance when it mattered most.

On top of their offensive output, Detroit's fielding was flawless without committing any errors throughout nine innings while turning two double plays which contributed significantly to keeping Arizona's scoring at bay.

Conversely, Arizona struggled to find consistency at bat despite putting up eight hits during the game; they only managed three runs against Detroit's pitching staff which combined for an ERA of 2.0 over nine innings pitched. The Diamondbacks did have moments where they threatened offensively but ultimately left too many players stranded on base.

Detroit’s pitchers also displayed dominance by striking out eleven batters while only walking three across all nine innings indicating effective control and command on the mound.

Looking ahead after this commanding win over Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field under sunny skies and high temperatures that reached up to 97 degrees Fahrenheit; fans can anticipate another exciting matchup between these two teams scheduled for May 19th at Chase Field once again starting at 8:10 PM local time (Phoenix). This upcoming game will be broadcasted on BSDET network for fans looking forward to watching more action-packed baseball between these competitive teams.
