On defense, both Javier Báez and Zachary McKinstry were flawless at shortstop and second base respectively, each contributing to keeping Detroit error-free throughout nine innings.


For Seattle Mariners' part, they struggled offensively only managing five hits throughout all nine innings which translated into two runs during the fourth inning - their only scoring play for this matchup.
