First Inning


The game began with both teams feeling each other out. The Tigers quickly set the tone by scoring 2 runs off 3 hits in the first inning. As play continued into later innings, both teams settled into more consistent patterns of play. The sixth inning saw another run added to Detroit’s tally thanks to Kerry Carpenter’s timely hitting which kept up his strong batting average from previous games. On defense, John Brebbia took over pitching duties and maintained control over Boston’s lineup by allowing only one run during his time on mound duty.


Ninth Inning


In what could have been a last-minute rally attempt by Boston during their final at-bats in ninth inning fell short as they managed just one additional run before being shut down completely by Sean Guenther's effective relief pitching efforts which sealed victory firmly within grasp for Tigs fans present at Comerica Park tonight!
