First Inning


The game began with both teams struggling to find their rhythm offensively. The Tigers and the Tribe each went scoreless in the first inning, setting a cautious tone for what would become an intense battle on the field.


Second Inning


As play continued into the second inning, neither team managed to break through defensively strong performances from both sides. The Tigs recorded one hit but were unable to convert it into runs due to solid fielding by Cleveland.

Third Inning


The third inning mirrored its predecessors as both teams remained locked in a defensive stalemate. Despite efforts from key players like Spencer Torkelson and Justyn-Henry Malloy, no runs were scored by either side.


Fourth Inning


The fourth inning proved pivotal for Detroit as they unleashed an offensive barrage that would ultimately decide the game's outcome. With five hits leading to five runs, including contributions from Javier Báez and Gleyber Torres who each showcased their batting prowess with crucial hits, this surge left Cleveland reeling and unable to respond effectively.

Fifth Through Ninth Innings


Following their explosive fourth inning performance, Detroit maintained control throughout subsequent innings while preventing any scoring opportunities for Cleveland's G-Men. Tarik Skubal delivered an outstanding pitching display with his ERA standing at zero and WHIP of just .2222 over nine innings pitched – effectively shutting down any attempts by Cleveland hitters.


Despite two hits recorded by Guardians during sixth and seventh innings respectively; they failed capitalize due largely thanks stellar defense exhibited across board particularly Matt Vierling whose flawless fielding contributed significantly towards maintaining shutout victory favor home team
