The game was characterized by a lack of offensive production from the Twins, who managed only three hits throughout the evening. Despite drawing five walks, they left eight runners on base and were unsuccessful in all five of their at-bats with runners in scoring position. The team's batting average was a mere .100, with an on-base plus slugging (OPS) of .362, highlighting their struggles at the plate.

Christian Vázquez was one bright spot for the Twins, hitting .500 and reaching base two out of three times he came to bat. Matthew Wallner also contributed with a batting average of .333 and an OPS of 1.000 for the game. Max Kepler matched Wallner's batting average and posted an OPS of .833.

On the mound, Simeon Woods Richardson delivered an impressive performance for the Twins' starters, maintaining an ERA of 0.0 over six innings pitched and achieving a strikeout-to-walk ratio (K/BB) of 5.0. However, Jhoan Duran struggled from the bullpen with an ERA of 40.5 after allowing three earned runs.

The Phillies capitalized late in the game by scoring all three runs in the ninth inning off six hits throughout their lineup against both Minnesota's starting pitcher and bullpen efforts.
