Twins Shut Out by Mets in Pitcher's Duel at Citi Field

Despite their efforts, they couldn't capitalize on their three opportunities with runners in scoring position. On the pitching side, David Festa started for the Twins and delivered five innings with an earned run average (ERA) of 3.6 and a walks plus hits per inning pitched (WHIP) ratio of .8. He struck out six batters while allowing just three hits and one home run that contributed to his two earned runs allowed.


The bullpen saw notable performances from James Jax and Jorge Alcala who both maintained a 0 ERA during their appearances but couldn't prevent the team from slipping to defeat.

For the Mets, their pitchers capitalized on strong outings to hold off any scoring attempts by Minnesota. They limited Twins hitters throughout nine innings while striking out ten batters collectively.
