First Inning

The game began with the Toronto Blue Jays taking an early lead. They scored 4 runs in the first inning, setting a strong tone for the rest of the match. The Twins struggled to find their rhythm early on and were unable to respond in kind.

Fourth Inning

Byron Buxton managed to put Minnesota on the board in the fourth inning with a solo home run, providing some hope for his team. However, Toronto continued their offensive push by adding another run during this period.

Sixth Inning

The sixth inning saw a glimmer of hope for Minnesota as Matt Wallner hit two home runs that brought in three runs total. This surge narrowed Toronto's lead and showcased Wallner's impressive batting skills from his previous game where he had an OPS of 2.5.

Final Innings

Despite this effort, Toronto responded swiftly with another four-run burst in their half of the sixth inning, effectively sealing their victory over Minnesota. The Twinkies couldn't muster any more significant offense through innings seven to nine as they were held scoreless by solid pitching from 'the Birds'.

Overall, Joe Ryan's pitching was tested thoroughly; he allowed six earned runs over five innings pitched which contributed significantly to 'the Twinkies' defeat.

Looking ahead, fans can catch 'the Twinkies' next game against 'the Birds' again on August 26th at Rogers Centre starting at 7:07 PM EDT broadcasted live on MNNT. Share this article if you enjoyed reading about last night's action!
