Twins' Fifth Inning Fireworks Can't Douse Yankees' Fourth Inning Blaze at Target Field

First Inning


The game began with both teams testing each other's defenses. The Yanks managed to score an early run, setting the tone for what would be an intense matchup. The Twinkies responded with one hit but couldn't capitalize on it.

Third and Fourth Innings


While the third inning remained quiet for both teams, it was in the fourth that things heated up dramatically. The Bronx Bombers unleashed a powerful offensive display, scoring five runs off five hits. This surge put them firmly in control of the game.


Fifth Inning


Not to be outdone, Minnesota answered back in style during their fifth inning at-bat by scoring three runs from four hits. This effort brought them closer but still trailing behind New York's lead.

Sixth Through Ninth Innings


Despite several attempts by both sides throughout these innings—including another run by New York—the scoreboard didn't see much change until late into play when two more Yankee runs sealed their victory over Minnesota.
