First Inning

The game began with a challenging start for the Twins as they allowed 6 runs on 7 hits. The O's capitalized on every opportunity, showcasing their offensive strength early in the game. The Twins' starting pitcher struggled to find his rhythm, which set the tone for this inning.

Second Inning

In response, the Twinkies managed to put up their first run of the game thanks to some strategic hitting. Despite this effort, they still trailed significantly behind as Baltimore's defense held strong.

Third and Fourth Innings

The third inning saw another surge from Baltimore with two additional runs scored. However, Minnesota showed resilience in the fourth inning by scoring two runs themselves and reducing errors on their side of play. This was highlighted by solid performances from players like Byron Buxton who contributed effectively during these innings.

Fifth through Seventh Innings

Both teams experienced a lull in scoring during these middle innings until Baltimore added two more runs in the seventh inning. The Twins' bullpen worked hard but couldn't completely stifle Baltimore’s offense.

Eighth and Ninth Innings

As tension built towards game's end, Minnesota attempted a comeback with two late runs scored in ninth inning but fell short against an unyielding Orioles defense that maintained their lead till final out was called.
