At Capital One Arena, the Atlanta Hawks showcased their offensive capabilities by putting up an impressive performance that led to a hard-fought victory over the Washington Wizards. The Hawks' scoring was consistent throughout the game, starting with 28 points in the first quarter and peaking with a massive 42-point effort in the second. They maintained their momentum with another 30 points in both third and fourth quarters.

The team's offensive efficiency was evident as they ended up shooting 50 percent from field goals and an effective field goal percentage of 56 percent. Their three-point attempts were also fruitful; converting at a rate of 38 percent for a total of twelve made threes. Inside paint proved to be another strong point for them as they scored more than half their attempts resulting in 54 points.

On defense, while not as dominant as on offense, they managed to block three shots and steal five times from their opponents. Rebounding was another area where Atlanta excelled; grabbing an impressive total of seventy rebounds - fifty-eight personal and twelve team rebounds - which included twelve offensive boards leading to twenty second-chance points.

Despite committing eighteen fouls during playtime without any ejections or foulouts, discipline remained intact for Atlanta which helped maintain control over proceedings. Their ball handling resulted in only twelve turnovers while drawing twenty-one fouls from Washington which allowed them free throw opportunities where they made sixty-five percent.

For individual performances among Hawks players – there were no shortage of highlights but one particular aspect stood out: their ability to share basketball effectively leading to twenty-seven assists overall demonstrating great teamwork on court.

As for Washington Wizards despite being on losing side showed resilience especially during fourth quarter where they scored thirty-nine points but it wasn't enough against determined visitors who had led by fifteen at one point during match-up thanks largely due time spent leading which amounted over thirty minutes compared less than seventeen minutes for home side.

Looking ahead after this win against Wizards next challenge awaits Atlanta Hawks back home at State Farm Arena when they face Oklahoma City Thunder scheduled on January third six-thirty PM Eastern Time.
