Clash at State Farm Arena: Atlanta Hawks Host Indiana Pacers in NBA Showdown

As the Atlanta Hawks prepare to welcome the Indiana Pacers to the State Farm Arena, fans are eager to see if their team can capitalize on their home-court advantage. The Hawks have had a mixed run of form recently, with a record that reflects some inconsistency. In their last game against the Memphis Grizzlies, they fell just short, scoring 119 points to Memphis's 125. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways; the team shot an impressive 46 percent from the field and an even more notable 80 percent from the free-throw line.

The previous away game against Miami Heat saw them score 113 points but again ended in defeat with a nine-point deficit. Their shooting percentages were slightly lower than usual at around 44 percent from the field and about 71 percent from free throws. However, they managed to sink an impressive 35 percent of their three-point attempts.

Looking back further at another away game versus Houston Rockets gives us some optimism as it was one of their better performances offensively; they scored a robust 134 points and won by seven points. Their shooting was on point with over half of their field goals made (52 percent) and an outstanding three-point percentage at approximately 43 percent.

Analyzing these trends suggests that while defense might be an area for improvement – given that they've conceded over 120 points in two out of these three games – offensively, they have shown flashes of brilliance which could prove vital against Indiana Pacers.

The upcoming match promises excitement as both teams will look to assert dominance early on. The Hawks' ability to maintain high shooting percentages could be key in securing victory before their home crowd.

Fans can catch all the action live on BSSE network or head down to State Farm Arena on January 13th for a scheduled tip-off time at half-past seven local time (Eastern Time Zone).
