In a game that saw both teams push each other to the limits, it was the Atlanta Hawks who emerged victorious after an intense overtime period. The home team's performance at State Farm Arena was bolstered by their impressive shooting accuracy, which saw them convert 48 percent of their field goal attempts and maintain a strong presence inside the paint with a 62 percent completion rate on such shots. Their tenacity on offense was matched by their efficiency from beyond the arc and at the free throw line, hitting 33 percent of three-pointers and making 77 percent of free throws.

The Hawks' bench contributed significantly with 41 points, showcasing depth and versatility when it mattered most. A key factor in their victory was ball security; they limited themselves to just eight turnovers compared to fourteen by the Warriors. This careful handling translated into scoring opportunities as they capitalized with 20 points off turnovers.

Defensively, Atlanta held its ground as well, registering four blocks and five steals over the course of play. They were particularly effective in rebounding, grabbing an equal number of total rebounds as Golden State at 65 each but outdoing them on offensive boards with sixteen against fourteen for their opponents.

Golden State's effort was commendable despite falling short; they demonstrated resilience throughout regulation time leading for nearly twenty-one minutes and achieving an eight-point lead at one stage – their biggest of the night. Their fast break execution stood out as they converted seven out of fifteen attempts into points but ultimately could not sustain this momentum into overtime.

As fans look ahead after this hard-fought victory for Atlanta, attention turns to future matchups where continued teamwork and execution will be key for success.

The next challenge for Atlanta will be against Los Angeles Clippers right here at State Farm Arena on February fifth starting at seven-thirty PM Eastern Time.
