State Farm Arena Set to Witness Hawks Soar Against Rockets

As the Atlanta Hawks prepare to host the Houston Rockets at State Farm Arena, fans are eager to see if their team can maintain the offensive prowess displayed in recent games. The Hawks have shown a mixed bag of results, with a close loss against the Memphis Grizzlies (119-125) where they led for over 28 minutes and demonstrated strong shooting from inside the paint, converting 62 percent of their attempts.

Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways for the Hawks. They managed an impressive 80 percent from the free-throw line and outscored Memphis in bench points. However, turnovers and defensive lapses allowed Memphis more possessions and ultimately cost Atlanta the game.

In their previous encounter with Miami Heat, Atlanta couldn't sustain their early lead despite a solid second quarter performance that saw them put up 34 points. The Heat's efficient scoring late in the game handed Atlanta a nine-point deficit by final buzzer (113-122). The Hawks' three-point shooting was notable at 35 percent but was overshadowed by Miami's higher overall efficiency.

The last time they faced off against Houston Rockets on away turf resulted in a high-scoring affair where Atlanta emerged victorious (134-127), leading for most of the game thanks to an explosive first half. Their true shooting percentage was an impressive 65 percent, indicating efficient scoring across all shot types.

Atlanta will be looking to replicate this offensive success while tightening up defensively as they welcome Houston on February 11th at State Farm Arena. Fans can catch all action live on BSSE or Space City Home Network starting at 7:30 PM Eastern Time.
