At State Farm Arena, home to the Hawks, fans witnessed an intense battle where both teams displayed their scoring capabilities. The Pelicans managed to secure a significant lead by demonstrating exceptional shooting accuracy from both inside and beyond the arc. They shot an impressive 57 percent from the field and an even more remarkable 52 percent from three-point range. Their efficiency was on full display as they led for over 44 minutes of game time and achieved their largest lead of 22 points.

The Hawks fought valiantly but struggled to keep pace with the Pelicans' offensive onslaught. Despite putting up 38 points in the fourth quarter, it wasn't enough to close the gap created by their opponents earlier in the game. The home team's shooting percentage stood at 42 percent overall and they converted on only half of their fast-break opportunities.

A key factor contributing to Atlanta's difficulties was their inability to contain New Orleans' paint presence; they conceded a substantial 56 points inside while scoring just 38 themselves. Additionally, turnovers proved costly for Atlanta as they gave up possession on eleven occasions leading to twenty-one points for New Orleans.

On individual performances, it was evident that bench production played a pivotal role; while Atlanta's reserves contributed twenty points, New Orleans' bench amassed more than double that amount with fifty-one points.
