In their last game against the Brooklyn Nets, despite a strong second quarter where they scored 34 points and led by as much as 13 points, the Hawks fell short with a final score of 102-114. Their offensive efforts were notable with a field goal percentage of 42 percent and three-point shooting at 32 percent. However, defensively they allowed too many points in paint (48) and struggled to contain fast breaks.

The previous encounter saw them suffer an even larger defeat to the Nets, scoring only 97 points while conceding 124. They managed to keep up in terms of two-point shooting percentage (50 percent), but overall field goal percentage was just slightly lower at 43 percent. Defensively they faced challenges again with a high defensive rating indicating room for tightening up.

However, it's not all bleak for Atlanta; before these setbacks on away turf, they secured an impressive win over Utah Jazz at home scoring an overwhelming 124 points while limiting Jazz to just 97. This game showcased what the Hawks are capable of when firing on all cylinders - efficient offense coupled with aggressive defense leading to fast break opportunities.

The upcoming game presents another chance for Atlanta to demonstrate growth from these experiences. Fans should watch out for how well they manage defensive rebounds and turnovers which have been pivotal in past performances.
