Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards: A High-Scoring Showdown at Capital One Arena

The Atlanta Hawks faced off against the Washington Wizards in a game that showcased both teams' offensive capabilities. The Hawks, with a record of 2-3, scored 120 points but were outdone by the Wizards who put up 133 points, improving their record to 2-2. The game was held at the Capital One Arena in Washington and drew an attendance of 14,255 fans.

Hawks' Offensive Efforts


Trae Young led the charge for the Atlanta Hawks with an impressive performance, scoring 35 points and dishing out 15 assists. His efforts were complemented by Jalen Johnson who contributed significantly with 21 points and grabbed a game-high of 17 rebounds. Zaccharie Risacher and David Roddy each added another dimension to the Hawks' offense with both scoring 17 points apiece. Despite their efforts, the team struggled to maintain control over the game's pace.


The Atlanta Hawks showed resilience on offense with notable statistics including shooting at a field goal percentage of 47 percent and converting free throws at an accuracy rate of 86 percent. They dominated inside the paint scoring a total of 66 points but faced challenges in maintaining possession which is reflected in their total turnovers count standing at seventeen.

Wizards Take Control


On the other side, The Washington Wizards capitalized on fast break opportunities scoring twenty-five fast break points compared to twelve by Atlanta. Their efficiency from beyond the arc was also pivotal as they shot forty-two percent from three-point range making sixteen three-pointers throughout the game.


The home team's bench played a crucial role contributing forty-four bench points showcasing their depth against eighteen from Atlanta's reserves. Bradley Beal’s leadership on court facilitated for his teammates creating opportunities which is evident from The Wizards recording thirty-two assists as a team.
