As the Boston Celtics prepare to host the Detroit Pistons at TD Garden, fans should be brimming with confidence. The Celtics have been on an absolute tear, and their recent performances suggest that they are poised for another victory.

Looking back at their Christmas Day game against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Celtics put up an impressive 126 points. Their offense was firing on all cylinders, with a field goal percentage of 50 and a three-point shooting rate of 31 percent. Notably, they dominated in points in the paint with a staggering 58 points scored from close range – a testament to their ability to penetrate defenses.

The team's defensive efforts shouldn't be overlooked either. They managed to block seven shots while also recording eight steals against the Lakers. This defensive prowess contributed significantly to their plus-minus rating of +11 over four quarters.

In another dominant display just two days prior against the LA Clippers, Boston showcased its depth by racking up 47 bench points. The team's efficiency rating soared to 179 as they led for over 45 minutes of game time – an indicator of their control throughout the match.

Boston’s most recent outing saw them amass an incredible 144 points against Sacramento Kings on December 21st. Their offensive rating was through the roof at nearly 148 points per possession while maintaining a solid defense that limited Sacramento’s scoring opportunities.

The Pistons are certainly not pushovers; however, given Boston's current form and home-court advantage, it would take something special from Detroit to upset BOS in this matchup. The key for BOS will be maintaining their high level of play across both ends of the floor while keeping DET’s scorers in check.

Fans can look forward to witnessing this exciting encounter scheduled for December 28th at TD Garden starting at 7:30 PM Eastern Time. For those unable to attend in person, you can catch all the action live on NBA TV (channel 216), NBCS-BOS (channel 630) for local viewers or BSDET (channel663) if you're cheering from Detroit territory.
