The Celtics demonstrated their offensive capabilities throughout the game. They managed to score 66 points in the paint compared to the Pistons' 54. Their shooting was efficient from close range, hitting 62 percent from two-point territory. The team also capitalized on turnovers, scoring 27 points off the Pistons' mistakes. Despite trailing behind in fast break points with only 14 against Detroit's 11, they made up for it with their performance inside.

Boston's defense played a pivotal role as well, recording ten steals and four blocks during the game. This defensive effort contributed to their slight edge in efficiency over Detroit with a rating of 145 compared to Detroit's still impressive rating of 129.

Key players for Boston stepped up when it mattered most. Their bench added valuable support by contributing 19 points to the victory. In terms of ball handling and distribution, Boston notched up an assists turnover ratio of over two while maintaining fewer turnovers than their opponents at twelve.

On the other side of the court, despite being outscored by six points overall and having nineteen turnovers which led to crucial Boston scores late in the game; Detroit showed strong resilience throughout each quarter. They led for a significant portion of regulation time (38:10) and had moments where they dominated play – including achieving a biggest lead margin of twenty-one points during one stretch.

Detroit’s offense wasn't without merit either; they shot nearly fifty-nine percent from inside and were able to convert seventy-four percent on second chance opportunities resulting in thirty-one second chance points – showcasing their ability to keep plays alive and capitalize on opportunities.

As fans look forward to future games after this nail-biter at TD Garden where attendance peaked at an impressive number - nineteen thousand one hundred fifty-six spectators - there is much anticipation for what comes next for these teams.

The upcoming schedule has Boston Celtics hosting Toronto Raptors at TD Garden on December twenty-ninth at seven-thirty PM Eastern Time Zone (ET). Fans can catch this matchup live on NBCS-BOS or internationally via TSN broadcasts.
