Celtics Dominate Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with Commanding 118-101 Victory

In a display of sheer dominance, the Boston Celtics extended their impressive season record to 28-8 after decisively overcoming the Indiana Pacers, who now stand at 21-15. The final scoreline read 118-101 in favor of the visiting team, as they outplayed their hosts across all four quarters.

The Celtics showcased a balanced attack with six players blocking shots and another six making steals, contributing to a solid defensive effort that kept the Pacers at bay. Offensively, they were just as effective, dishing out 26 assists which facilitated scoring opportunities and led to high shooting percentages across the board: 51 percent from the field and an impressive 61 percent on two-point attempts.

Boston's bench made significant contributions by adding 32 points to the scoreboard. The team's ability to capitalize on fast-break opportunities was evident; although they only attempted eight fast breaks, they converted half of them into points. Moreover, their prowess in paint was undeniable as they scored a substantial 54 points from close range.

The Celtics' largest lead during the game was a comfortable 19 points. They maintained control for nearly three-quarters of playtime with an authoritative time leading of over three-quarters of an hour. Their efficiency rating stood tall at 138 compared to Indiana's respectable but lower rating of 104.

On defense, Boston held strong against Indiana's attacks. The home team managed only two blocks and found themselves trailing without ever taking the lead throughout the contest. Despite having more steals (12), this did not translate into controlling game momentum for Indiana.

The Pacers did have some bright spots; their bench outscored Boston’s reserves with an output of 42 points and showed better accuracy from free throws by hitting them at a rate of approximately three-quarters success rate (77 percent). However, these efforts were overshadowed by Boston’s overall performance which included dominating both offensive (70 total rebounds) and defensive boards (43 defensive rebounds).

Looking ahead for fans eager to follow their beloved Celtics: The next challenge awaits when Boston faces off against Indiana once again on January 8th at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. This encounter is scheduled for a tip-off time around early evening hours Eastern Time and will be broadcasted on NBCS-BOS channel number six hundred thirty for away supporters wanting to catch every moment live.
