In their most recent game against the New Orleans Pelicans on March 30th, the Celtics showcased why they're one of the top contenders this season. With a solid 104-92 victory over the Pelicans, Boston's defense was particularly noteworthy. They held their opponents to just 92 points and maintained a defensive rating of just under 100 points per 100 possessions. Offensively, they were efficient as well, shooting at a commendable rate from both inside and outside the arc with field goal percentages of 48 percent overall and an impressive three-point percentage of 40.

The bench contributed significantly with 17 points while maintaining control throughout most of the game – leading for an entire 24 minutes – and achieving their largest lead at an imposing margin of 22 points. Their ability to convert opportunities into points was evident in their fast break performance despite only converting one out of four attempts; it's clear that when given space, they can be lethal.

On March 28th against Atlanta Hawks in a nail-biting overtime thriller that ended in a narrow loss (122-123), Boston demonstrated resilience and offensive prowess by leading for over half an hour during gameplay time. The team’s efficiency score reached an outstanding mark above average NBA standards.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing; there were areas where improvement could be seen such as turnovers which stood at nine against Atlanta Hawks – something coach Udoka will surely look to address before facing Portland.

The Trail Blazers cannot be underestimated either; they bring their own set of challenges that could disrupt Boston's rhythm if not properly contained. It will be crucial for players like Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown (assuming they're fit) to step up defensively while also contributing heavily on offense as usual.

With both teams having strengths that can counteract each other’s strategies effectively - this matchup is poised not only as test but also opportunity: For Celtics' defense against Damian Lillard's offensive onslaughts; For Portland’s attempt at containing one Eastern Conference’s best squads right now.

Fans eagerly awaiting tip-off should mark April 7th on calendars because TD Garden is where all action will unfold starting precisely at six o'clock PM Eastern Time (ET). Those unable catch live attendance still enjoy coverage through NBCS-BOS ROOT Sports NW networks respectively ensuring no moment missed from what expected exhilarating display basketball prowess between two elite NBA franchises.
