Celtics' Effort and Key Performances

The game began promisingly for the Celtics as they led with scores of 35 and 30 in the first two quarters. However, their performance dipped in the second half, managing only 15 and 12 points in the third and fourth quarters respectively. This inconsistency was reflected in their overall shooting percentage of just 36 percent from the field and an even more disappointing 20 percent from beyond the arc.

Jayson Tatum stood out for Boston with an impressive double-double consisting of 26 points and ten rebounds. He also contributed one assist but struggled from three-point range, hitting only one-third of his attempts. Kristaps Porzingis also made significant contributions with nineteen points and nine rebounds while showcasing efficiency inside by shooting eighty-three percent on two-point attempts.

Despite these efforts, turnovers proved costly for Boston as they gave up sixteen throughout the game which translated into eleven points for Oklahoma City. The team's bench struggled as well, contributing only thirteen points compared to twenty-seven from Oklahoma City's reserves.

Thunder's Counterattack

On defense, Derrick White made his presence felt by blocking three shots alongside contributing eleven points and four assists. However, this defensive effort was overshadowed by Oklahoma City's balanced attack that saw them shoot forty-five percent from field goals including forty-two percent from three-point range which significantly outpaced Boston’s efforts.

The Thunder were led by dynamic plays that resulted in sixty-percent efficiency on fast breaks compared to seventeen percent by Boston. Their ability to capitalize on turnovers was evident as they scored twenty-two points off turnovers against Boston’s eleven.
