In their last encounter against the Washington Wizards on December 30th, the Nets scored 104 points but fell short as they conceded 110. Despite a strong third quarter where they outscored the Wizards by five points, it wasn't enough to secure victory. The team's field goal percentage stood at 43 percent with a three-point shooting rate of only 32 percent. However, they excelled in second-chance points with an impressive conversion rate of 61 percent from such opportunities.

The bench contributed significantly with 37 points but was overshadowed by defensive lapses that saw them post a defensive rating just shy of 118.2 – indicating room for improvement on that end of the floor.

Two days earlier against Milwaukee Bucks, BKN showcased their scoring prowess despite another loss (122-144). Their bench was particularly explosive, contributing an outstanding total of 79 points. They also demonstrated efficiency from the charity stripe hitting an excellent free throw percentage at around 86 percent.

However, defense was once again their Achilles' heel as they allowed MIL to shoot an overwhelming field goal percentage close to 58 percent and were outdone in fast-break situations where MIL converted at a rate of about three-quarters.

Against Detroit Pistons on December 27th though, BKN turned things around defensively which translated into a win (118-112). They managed to block seven shots and steal six times from DET while maintaining control for most part of the game thanks largely due to leading for over half-an-hour during playtime.

Looking ahead towards OKC encounter; if BKN can replicate this kind of defensive intensity combined with efficient scoring off bench like seen against MIL then there's potential for positive outcome even away from home turf.

The Thunder will not make it easy though; any team playing host naturally has advantage plus OKC will be looking capitalize on any signs weakness shown by visitors especially after recent performances highlighted some inconsistencies within BKN ranks particularly when comes down defending opposition shooters effectively throughout duration entire match-up.
