Can the Brooklyn Nets Overcome the Trail Blazers at Moda Center?

As the Brooklyn Nets prepare to face off against the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center, fans are eager to see if their team can pull off a victory on foreign hardwood. The upcoming game, scheduled for January 17th at 10:00 PM EST, is a pivotal moment for BKN as they look to improve their standing this season.

The Nets have had a turbulent run recently. Their last game against Miami Heat on January 16th was a nail-biter that went into overtime, with BKN narrowly losing by one point, finishing at 95-96. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways; notably, their bench contributed an impressive 46 points and they led for over half of the game. Additionally, they managed to block nine shots and steal nine times from MIA. However, their three-point shooting was lackluster at just 22 percent from beyond the arc.

Looking back further to January 11th in Paris against Cleveland Cavaliers shows another tough loss for BKN with a final score of 102-111. The team struggled defensively but showed resilience in offense during the fourth quarter by scoring an astonishing 42 points.

On January 7th against POR themselves in Brooklyn's Barclays Center saw BKN scoring high with an overall field goal percentage of 50 percent and dominating in points in paint with a total of 62 points made out of attempted shots within that area. However, defensive lapses allowed POR to secure a win with seven more points ending it at 127-134 after overtime.

The Trail Blazers' performance has been less than stellar this season as well; their record speaks volumes about their struggles on court. But it would be unwise for BKN fans to underestimate POR based solely on past performances – especially considering that POR managed to edge out BKN earlier this month despite being behind most of the game.

BKN needs to capitalize on its strengths – like its ability to generate bench points and maintain leads when given the chance – while addressing weaknesses such as perimeter defense and consistency from three-point range.

With both teams having recent games going into overtime and showing they can put up big numbers offensively when needed suggests that we might be looking forward to another high-scoring affair between these two teams come Wednesday night.

Nets fans should mark their calendars for January 17th when Brooklyn will take on Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center which will air live on YES Network channel number is not provided but likely available through local listings or streaming services where applicable.
