Brooklyn Nets turn 17 triples into a Barclays Center lead over the Sacramento Kings

The Brooklyn Nets moved to 18-57 after a 116-99 result over the Sacramento Kings, who fell to 19-57 at Barclays Center.

First quarter


The Brooklyn Nets opened with a 31-18 first quarter that included 10 steals for the game and set the tone for a 47:17 edge in time leading.


The Kings scored 18 in the quarter while starting 43 percent from the field overall for the night and 31 percent from 3-point range.


Second quarter


The Nets added a 37-27 second quarter behind 30 assists on 42 made field goals, and the ball movement supported 59 effective field goal percent.


The Borough’s 50 bench points showed up before halftime, and the overall cushion later matched a 27-point biggest lead.


The Kings kept contact with 48 points in the paint for the game and reached the line for 25 free throw attempts.


Third quarter


The Nets were held to 18 points in the third quarter while both teams finished with 15 turnovers, and Sacramento’s pressure helped it score 20 points off turnovers.


The Kings won the quarter 28-18 while posting 7 steals and leaning on 12 offensive rebounds as part of 54 total rebounds.


Fourth quarter


The Nets closed with a 30-26 fourth quarter, and the finishing run fit the Brooklyn Nets vs Sacramento Kings key moments that stretched the margin back out.
