Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Hornets: did Brooklyn’s 27-point second quarter change anything at Barclays Center?

The Brooklyn Nets moved to 18-58 and the Charlotte Hornets to 40-36 after a 117-86 result at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on 7:30 PM EDT.

First quarter


The Brooklyn Nets fell behind 35-18 in the opening quarter as the Hornets hit 41 field goals on 47 percent shooting for the game.


Buzz City also began stacking extra chances with 13 offensive rebounds and 29 second-chance points across the night.


Second quarter


The Nets’ cleanest stretch came in the second quarter with 27 points, while Nolan Traore posted 10 points and 4 assists in the game.


Brooklyn’s bench totaled 48 points, and Josh Minott led that second unit scoring line with 14 points.

Third quarter
