In their last outing on October 12 against the Washington Wizards, the Hornets fell short by six points in a 92-98 loss. Despite leading for over 43 minutes and boasting a 15-point lead at one point, they couldn't hold on. A closer look at their stats reveals some concerns; notably, their field goal percentage was just 37 percent and three-point shooting languished at 20 percent. However, there were positives too – they dominated in points in the paint with 52 and showed defensive prowess with nine blocks.

On October 10 against Miami Heat, despite scoring more than before with 109 points, it wasn't enough as they lost by four points. Their bench contributed impressively with 45 points but turnovers remained an issue as they gave up possession seventeen times.

The April game against Cleveland Cavaliers showcased what the Hornets are capable of when firing on all cylinders – winning by eleven points with an impressive offensive efficiency rating of over one hundred two per possession. Their field goal percentage improved significantly to nearly forty-six percent and free throw accuracy was exceptional at almost eighty-seven percent.

The key takeaway for CHA is consistency; when they maintain high shooting percentages and control turnovers while leveraging their ability to score inside, they can compete with any team. Against OKC's dynamic squad known for its tenacity and hustle, CHA will need to harness these strengths once again.

Defensively speaking though, CHA must tighten up beyond just blocking shots; containing OKC's fast-paced offense will be crucial. The Thunder bring energy every night which means that transition defense will be vital for CHA if they hope to keep pace throughout all four quarters.

Looking ahead to October 15th's clash between these two teams promises excitement but also poses challenges that CHA must overcome if victory is within sight. Fans should expect a determined effort from their team who has shown flashes of brilliance but needs more consistency across forty-eight minutes of basketball action.

For those looking forward to witnessing this spectacle live or from home can tune into BSSE channel number six hundred forty-nine or BSOK channel number six hundred seventy-five respectively at nine PM Eastern Time in Charlotte's own Spectrum Center where every dribble counts towards defining moments this season.
