The game was an offensive showcase with both teams displaying impressive shooting accuracy. The Hornets shot an effective field goal percentage of 60 and had a true shooting percentage of 62. They were particularly lethal from beyond the arc, converting half of their three-point attempts into points. The team's free throw performance was flawless at a hundred percent conversion rate.

Charlotte's scoring was spread across all four quarters with consistent tallies: starting with 30 in the first quarter and ending with another set of 30 in the fourth. Despite trailing behind in rebounds with only 31 compared to Phoenix's dominant tally of 46, Charlotte managed to keep turnovers low at six and capitalized on these by scoring 22 points off turnovers.

The Hornets' bench contributed significantly to their total score by adding an additional 36 points. Their fast-break opportunities were limited but efficient; they scored nine points from such plays, making three out of four attempts.

Defensively though, Charlotte struggled as evidenced by their defensive rating which stood at a concerning figure above one hundred forty-two per possession. This allowed Phoenix to capitalize inside the paint where they scored forty points and maintained an impressive field goal percentage throughout all quarters.

On individual performances for Charlotte, there were notable contributions across various metrics including assists where they racked up thirty-two as a team demonstrating strong ball movement and teamwork despite falling short on this occasion.

Looking ahead for fans of Charlotte Hornets, attention now turns towards their next challenge against Denver Nuggets scheduled on January first at nine PM Eastern Time at Ball Arena in Denver. Fans can catch this upcoming game broadcasted on BSSE channel six hundred forty-nine or ALT channel six hundred eighty-one depending on their location.
