Charlotte Hornets Edge Out Toronto Raptors at Spectrum Center

The Charlotte Hornets, with a record of 7-18, hosted the Toronto Raptors, standing at 11-15, in a closely contested game that ended with a score of 119-116. The home team managed to secure a victory despite their challenging season thus far.

In an impressive display at the Spectrum Center, the Charlotte Hornets showcased their offensive capabilities by scoring 119 points against the visiting Toronto Raptors who put up a strong fight with 116 points. The Hornets led for most of the game with an extensive time leading of over forty-two minutes and even established a significant lead margin reaching twenty points during play.


The Hornets' offense was firing on all cylinders as they shot an efficient fifty-six percent from two-point range and an exceptional fifty-two percent from beyond the arc. Their free throw accuracy was also noteworthy as they made ninety percent of their attempts from the line. This shooting efficiency contributed to their effective field goal percentage being recorded at sixty-four percent.


On defense, Charlotte managed to block four shots and matched Toronto's seven steals. They drew more fouls than their opponents which resulted in twenty-one free throw attempts for them compared to twenty for Toronto. The home team capitalized on turnovers by scoring seventeen points off them while also dominating second-chance opportunities by converting one hundred percent of these attempts into seventeen additional points.


Toronto Raptors were not without merit; they fought valiantly throughout all four quarters. They excelled in paint scoring seventy-four points and had thirty-two assists reflecting good ball movement but struggled from three-point land making only nineteen percent of those shots.
