In an intense matchup at the United Center, the Charlotte Hornets displayed resilience but ultimately fell short against the Chicago Bulls. The game saw several lead changes and was tied twice, indicating a closely contested battle on court. The Hornets started strong with 24 points in the first quarter but were surpassed by the Bulls who scored 27. As both teams fought for dominance, it was clear that maintaining momentum would be key.

The Hornets showcased their offensive skills by achieving an impressive free throw percentage of 100 and scoring half of their fast break attempts for a total of 15 fast break points. They also dominated inside with an outstanding paint shooting percentage of over 63 percent which contributed to their overall field goal percentage standing at around 43 percent.

Defensively, Charlotte managed nine blocks and as many steals during playtime which reflects their defensive efforts despite being outrebounded by Chicago's formidable total rebound count of 63 compared to theirs at just under half that number. However, turnovers proved costly for them as they gave up possession on seventeen occasions leading to nineteen points off turnovers for their opponents.

On individual performances for Charlotte: contributions across various aspects such as assists where they totaled twenty-five showed team effort in creating scoring opportunities even though they trailed behind in terms of time leading during game play.
