Looking back at their past performances, it's clear that consistency has been an issue for Charlotte. In their recent game against Sacramento Kings, they fell short with a final score of 98-123 despite shooting a respectable 42 percent from beyond the arc. Their points in the paint were low at just 28 compared to Kings' dominant 62, and they were outrebounded by a significant margin (44 to Kings' 60).

The subsequent matchup saw an improvement but still ended in defeat against Chicago Bulls with a close scoreline of 112-119. The Hornets showed resilience by forcing overtime and demonstrated better efficiency from free throws at an impressive rate of 88 percent. However, turnovers remained problematic as they gave up possession on fifteen occasions.

In their last away game versus Bulls again, Charlotte managed only 91 points while allowing Chicago to rack up fast break points (25) due to defensive lapses. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways such as seven steals and ten fast break points which could be built upon.

As they head into San Antonio's territory, it is crucial for the Hornets to tighten up defensively and capitalize on scoring opportunities inside the paint where they've previously struggled. Rebounding will also be key; securing more boards could provide those much-needed second-chance points.

Fans can catch this anticipated encounter live on BSSE channel or attend in person at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio on January 13th at local venue time US/Central or away time US/Eastern for those supporting from home. Will this game mark a turning point for Charlotte? Only time will tell as we await tip-off with bated breath.
