The Hornets showed resilience throughout the game, matching up well against their opponents in each quarter. Despite this competitive spirit, they were unable to secure a lead greater than four points and spent just under four minutes ahead during playtime.

Charlotte's performance was highlighted by their ability to draw fouls and capitalize on fast breaks. They drew twelve fouls from Philadelphia and converted these opportunities into fifteen fast break points with an impressive conversion rate of fifty-four percent from such attempts. However, turnovers proved costly for the Hornets; they committed seventeen in total which led to ten points for the 76ers.

Defensively, Charlotte managed seven blocks but only two steals throughout the game. Their defensive efforts resulted in holding Philadelphia to forty-two percent shooting from field goals and twenty percent from beyond the arc. Yet it wasn't enough as their opponents dominated inside with fifty-two points in paint compared to Charlotte's forty-two.

On offense, despite shooting slightly better than Philadelphia from two-point range at fifty-four percent accuracy, Charlotte struggled behind three-point line making only nine out of thirty-seven attempts – translating into twenty-four percent success rate. The bench contributed nine points but it was overshadowed by Philadelphia's thirteen bench points.
