The Hornets displayed remarkable shooting accuracy throughout the game, converting 57 percent from the field and an impressive 52 percent from beyond the arc. Their offensive efforts were complemented by a solid defensive performance that limited their opponents to a field goal percentage of just 47. The home team's bench contributed significantly with 45 points, outscoring the Grizzlies' reserves by seven.

A pivotal moment came when the Hornets went on a run to outscore their opponents by ten points during one stretch, shifting momentum firmly in their favor. The Hornets capitalized on turnovers as well, scoring sixteen points off their opponent's twelve mistakes. They also dominated inside with fifty-four points in paint compared to fifty-two by Memphis. Charlotte's rebounding was superior as well; they grabbed fifty-two rebounds—nine more than Memphis—and held an advantage in both offensive (five) and defensive rebounds (thirty-eight).

Memphis did not go down without showing some resilience; they managed to tie up the score six times and changed leads five times throughout the contest. Their efficiency from three-point range stood at thirty-six percent with sixteen made threes matching that of Charlotte’s count but falling short in effectiveness due to fewer attempts.

As for individual performances for Charlotte, it was truly a team effort as assists were distributed evenly among players leading to thirty assists overall which reflects on their cohesive playmaking abilities against Memphis' thirty-three assists.
