Can the Hornets Sting the Trail Blazers at Moda Center?

The Charlotte Hornets are gearing up for an intriguing matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center. Despite a challenging season, recent performances suggest that the Hornets might just have what it takes to cause an upset on February 25th.

In their last game on February 15th, CHA displayed a remarkable offensive performance against the Atlanta Hawks, securing a commanding 122-99 victory. The team's efficiency rating of 144 was particularly impressive, as they managed to outperform ATL in nearly every aspect of the game. With a shooting percentage of 49 percent from the field and an astonishing 95 percent from the free-throw line, CHA showed they could capitalize on scoring opportunities.

CHA's bench depth was also noteworthy as they contributed a significant 40 points to their total score. This depth could be crucial against POR, especially if fatigue sets in during later stages of the game. Moreover, with fast break points sitting at an impressive 21 and an effective field goal percentage of 58 percent in their last outing, CHA has demonstrated that they can be lethal in transition – something that could prove vital against POR's defense.

On February 13th against Indiana Pacers, despite ending up with more turnovers (19) than assists (27), CHA still managed to pull off a win with a scoreline of 111-102. Their ability to maintain composure under pressure and close out games has been evident – showcasing resilience which will be essential when facing POR.

Against Memphis Grizzlies on February 11th, CHA once again came out on top with a scoreline of 115-106. The team’s three-point shooting was particularly effective that night as they hit at an impressive rate of over fifty percent from beyond the arc.

However, it won't be all smooth sailing for CHA; POR will present its own set of challenges. The Trail Blazers will have home-court advantage and undoubtedly look to leverage this benefit fully. But if recent performances are anything to go by – where we've seen significant contributions across both starters and bench players for Charlotte – there is reason for optimism among Hornets fans.

As we look ahead to this upcoming contest between these two teams who have had contrasting fortunes this season, one thing is certain: If Charlotte can replicate their recent form and execute effectively on both ends of the court while maintaining discipline in possession play - there may well be potential for another upset victory away from home soil.

Fans eager not to miss any action should tune into ROOT Sports NW or BSSE depending on their location; tip-off is scheduled for Sunday evening at nine o'clock sharp Eastern Time at Moda Center in Portland.
