This defensive pressure contributed to a lower opponent possession count for Memphis at only around ninety-eight compared to Charlotte's one hundred one possessions.

Rebounding played a crucial role in this matchup; however, it was one area where the Grizzlies outperformed by securing fifty rebounds over Charlotte's forty-two. Despite this disadvantage, Charlotte managed six offensive rebounds which led to eleven second-chance points.
