Hornets Hope to Sting Mavericks in Spectrum Showdown

As the Charlotte Hornets prepare to host the Dallas Mavericks at Spectrum Center, fans are eager to see if their team can turn around a challenging season. The Hornets have been struggling, with a record of 18 wins and 57 losses. Despite this, recent performances suggest that they are not going down without a fight.

In their last game against the Boston Celtics, the Hornets scored 104 points but were outpaced by the Celtics' 118. The team showed promise with an impressive fast break percentage of 86 percent and points in paint totaling 48. Their assist-to-turnover ratio was also noteworthy at 4.67.


The previous match against the LA Clippers saw them put up an even more competitive fight, scoring 118 points while allowing 130. Their three-point shooting was on display as they hit at an efficient rate of 44 percent from beyond the arc.

Against the Golden State Warriors, however, they fell short with only a field goal percentage of 40 and were outscored by nearly twenty points. Yet again though, their resilience shone through as they managed to score off turnovers with a total of eighteen points.


The upcoming game promises to be an exciting one as both teams bring unique strengths onto the court. For Charlotte Hornets fans looking for signs of growth and potential building blocks for future seasons, this matchup will be particularly intriguing.

The game is scheduled for April 9th at Spectrum Center in Charlotte with tip-off set for 7:00 PM Eastern Time (ET). Fans can catch all the action live on BSSE or WFAA networks.
