On the other side, despite winning by just three points and having fewer blocks and steals than their opponents – two blocks and four steals respectively – Portland capitalized on fast break opportunities scoring twelve fast break points with a conversion rate of seventy-one percent on such plays.

The Trail Blazers were led by their ability to maintain control throughout much of the game; they enjoyed thirty-four minutes and fifty-nine seconds in front while achieving their biggest lead at eleven points. Their field goal percentage stood at forty percent overall but showed resilience in paint scoring forty-four paint points against Charlotte's defense.
