Hornets' Late Surge Falls Short Against Heat in Spectrum Center Showdown

The Hornets showcased resilience, particularly in the final quarter where they outscored the Heat 36-23, highlighting their potential for explosive offense. LaMelo Ball led from the front for Charlotte with an impressive double-double featuring 32 points and 10 rebounds alongside seven assists. His performance was pivotal to keeping the Hornets competitive throughout.


Brandon Miller also made significant contributions scoring 21 points. His efforts on both ends of the floor were crucial for Charlotte as they attempted to claw back into contention. Tidjane Salaun added another layer of offense with his efficient shooting to tally up 17 points.

On defense, Cody Martin stood out with two blocks and four steals, showcasing his defensive prowess and contributing significantly to Charlotte's ten steals during this matchup.


Miami Heat's Strategic Play


The Miami Heat managed their lead well through strategic plays and consistent scoring across all quarters. Their ability to maintain a balanced attack saw them leading for over 43 minutes of gameplay time. The team's efficiency from both inside and beyond the arc was notable as they shot at an overall field goal percentage of 45 percent while making critical three-pointers at crucial junctures.

Defensively, Miami capitalized on turnovers converting them into valuable points off turnovers which contributed to their biggest lead being stretched to twenty points during one phase of play.
