Hornets' High-Flying Performance

The Hornets led for an impressive 41:12 minutes of the game, achieving their biggest lead of 33 points. Their offensive and defensive strategies were on full display, with a total team effort contributing to this win. The team's efficiency rating stood out at 146, compared to the Pelicans' 90, highlighting Charlotte's superior execution on both ends of the court.

LaMelo Ball spearheaded the attack with an outstanding performance that included scoring 25 points and dishing out seven assists. His leadership on the floor was evident as he also contributed five rebounds and three steals. Miles Bridges followed suit with a solid contribution of 22 points and six rebounds, further bolstering Charlotte's offense.

On defense, Moussa Diabate made his presence felt by grabbing an impressive total of thirteen rebounds along with one block and one steal. This defensive prowess limited New Orleans to just a field goal percentage of 38 percent while forcing them into thirteen turnovers.

Pelicans' Struggle

Despite their efforts, the Pelicans struggled to find rhythm throughout the match. They managed only eight three-pointers on a disappointing shooting percentage from beyond the arc (26 percent). Brandon Ingram tried to rally his team with notable efforts but faced stiff resistance from Charlotte’s defense which held them off effectively.

New Orleans did see some positive contributions from their bench but couldn't overcome Charlotte's lead or match their intensity throughout each quarter. Their time leading in this contest was minimal at just over four minutes indicating how much control Charlotte had from start to finish.

Looking ahead, fans can catch more action as Spectrum Center will host another exciting matchup when Los Angeles Lakers visit Charlotte Hornets on January 27th at 7:00 PM EDT. This game promises more high-octane basketball action and can be watched live on SportsNet LA, FDSSE or WSOC TV for those tuning in from different locations.
