Hornets Buzzed Out by Clippers in a Close Encounter at Spectrum Center

In a closely contested match at the Spectrum Center, the Charlotte Hornets fell to the Los Angeles Clippers with a final score of 104-112. This game brought the Hornets' season record to 12-33, while the Clippers improved their standing to 28-20. Despite a spirited effort from both sides, it was the Clippers who managed to secure victory, leading for most of the game and showcasing their offensive efficiency.

Charlotte's Standout Performances


The Hornets saw notable contributions from several players. Miles Bridges led the team with an impressive 27 points, complemented by six assists and nine rebounds, although his three-point shooting was less effective at only 12 percent. Vasilije Micic also had a strong showing with 20 points on an efficient shooting night where he hit 58 percent from inside and added four assists. Josh Green made every shot he took for his total of 10 points, including hitting his only three-point attempt.


On defense, Josh Okogie stood out with two blocks and three steals alongside eight points. Moussa Diabate grabbed an impressive total of fourteen rebounds while scoring eleven points but struggled slightly from the free-throw line.

Clippers' Key Contributions


The Los Angeles Clippers demonstrated why they are among the top teams this season with balanced team play and solid statistics across the board. They shot an overall field goal percentage of 54 percent compared to Charlotte's 44 percent and outrebounded them with a total of fifty-four rebounds against forty-six.


Their fast-break execution was particularly effective; they converted seven out of nine attempts into seventeen fast-break points. The Clippers also capitalized on their opportunities in paint scoring sixty points compared to fifty-eight by Charlotte.
