Can Charlotte Hornets Find Their Rhythm Against Orlando Magic at Kia Center?

The Charlotte Hornets, with a record of 13-39, faced off against the Orlando Magic, standing at 27-29, in a regular-season game that ended with the Hornets scoring 86 points to the Magic's 102. Despite a spirited effort, the Hornets couldn't overcome the Magic's defense and offensive strategies throughout the game.

Hornets' Highlights


The Hornets showed moments of brilliance and competitiveness during the match. Miles Bridges led his team with an impressive performance of 19 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. His ability to drive to the basket and create opportunities was evident but wasn't enough to secure a win for his team. Damion Baugh and Josh Green also made significant contributions with 16 points each; Baugh added five rebounds and three assists to his tally while showing efficiency on both ends of the court.


Taj Gibson stood out defensively for Charlotte by grabbing an impressive total of twelve rebounds along with scoring ten points. This performance highlighted Gibson's veteran presence and rebounding skillset which were crucial in keeping possessions alive for Charlotte.

Orlando's Counter


On the other side, Orlando Magic capitalized on their home advantage at Kia Center by maintaining control over most aspects of the game. The home team showcased their defensive prowess by blocking nine shots compared to Charlotte's four blocks. Their strategic gameplay was reflected in their ability to draw fouls effectively leading them to score fourteen free throws out of nineteen attempts.


Orlando also excelled in rebounding with fifty-nine total rebounds against forty-nine from Charlotte which played a significant role in their victory. The balanced attack from Orlando saw them leading by as much as twenty-one points during the game which underscored their dominance on this occasion.
