Did the Hornets' Overtime Surge Leave Raptors in the Dust?

The Charlotte Hornets improved their record to 6-14 with a hard-fought victory over the Toronto Raptors, who now stand at 14-6. The game concluded with a score of 118-111, showcasing an intense battle that extended into overtime at Spectrum Center.

First Quarter


The opening quarter saw the Raptors take an early lead, scoring 34 points against Buzz City's 21. The North capitalized on their offensive prowess and maintained control throughout most of this period. However, despite trailing by double digits, the Hornets showed resilience and kept themselves within striking distance.


Second Quarter


In the second quarter, Charlotte began to find their rhythm. Miles Bridges emerged as a key player for Buzz City with his impressive shooting accuracy. His contribution was vital in narrowing the gap as he scored consistently from both inside and beyond the arc. By halftime, Charlotte had managed to cut Toronto's lead significantly.


Third Quarter


As play resumed after halftime, both teams continued to exchange baskets in a closely contested third quarter. Collin Sexton provided crucial support for Charlotte with his dynamic playmaking abilities and defensive efforts that helped keep Jurassic Park's offense in check.


Fourth Quarter


Entering the fourth quarter down by just a few points, Buzz City intensified their defensive pressure while maintaining offensive efficiency. LaMelo Ball orchestrated plays effectively alongside Kon Knueppel whose sharp shooting added valuable points on board for Charlotte.


Overtime
