Can the Charlotte Hornets' Three-Point Shooting Outshine Detroit Pistons' Paint Dominance?

First Quarter

The Charlotte Hornets started strong against the Detroit Pistons, leading 33-29 by the end of the first quarter. The Hornets showcased their three-point shooting prowess, with Brandon Miller contributing significantly to their early lead. His accuracy from beyond the arc was a key factor in establishing an 8-point advantage at one point during this period.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, however, the Pistons began to assert themselves in the paint. Despite a solid defensive effort from Ryan Kalkbrenner and Grant Williams, who combined for several rebounds and blocks, Detroit managed to outscore Buzz City 32-24. The Pistons capitalized on their opportunities inside, closing out halftime with a slight edge.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw both teams struggling offensively as defenses tightened up. The Hornets managed only 21 points compared to Motor City's 27. Kon Knueppel's consistent shooting kept Charlotte within reach as he added crucial points alongside LaMelo Ball's playmaking efforts which included four assists by this stage of the game.

Fourth Quarter

Entering into crunch time in the fourth quarter, Charlotte attempted a comeback with an impressive display of perimeter shooting led by Miles Bridges and Tre Mann. However, despite scoring 26 points in this final stretch and maintaining perfect free throw accuracy throughout (17-for-17), they couldn't overcome Detroit's robust interior presence that secured them a win at Spectrum Center.

The final scoreline read 110-104 in favor of Detroit Pistons who now hold a record of 39-13 while Buzz City stands at 25-29 after this encounter.
