The game was held at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto and was witnessed by a full house with an attendance of 19,800 fans. The Cavaliers showed resilience throughout the game as they managed to tie the score eight times and experienced fifteen lead changes. Despite trailing for most of the game with only 4:39 minutes leading time and their biggest lead being just three points, they kept up an intense fight until the last buzzer.

Cleveland's offense was on display with a total scoring efficiency of 130 and an effective field goal percentage of 55 percent. They shot well from both inside and outside the arc, hitting 58 percent from two-point range on 53 attempts and managing to convert twelve out of their thirty-six three-point attempts for a three-point shooting percentage of thirty-three percent. Their free throw accuracy was impressive as well; they made twenty-three out of twenty-six attempts which rounds up to eighty-eight percent.

On defense, however, Cleveland struggled slightly more than Toronto did. The Cavaliers had two blocks compared to four by their opponents but managed nine steals over Toronto's five. They also collected fifty rebounds (forty-three personal rebounds), six offensive among them which contributed to eight second-chance points.

Bench production was significant for Cleveland as they contributed fifty-five bench points during this encounter. However, turnovers were an area that could have been better handled; despite having fewer turnovers than Toronto (nine versus eleven), they scored ten points off those turnovers while allowing twelve points off their own mistakes.

Looking ahead after this narrow defeat, fans can catch The Cleveland Cavaliers back in action when they host Washington Wizards at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland on January third at seven o'clock PM Eastern Time. This upcoming contest will be available for viewing on BSOH channel six hundred sixty or MNMT channel six hundred forty-two for those following from away markets.
