Cleveland Cavaliers Fall to Boston Celtics at TD Garden Despite Fierce Effort

The Cleveland Cavaliers, with a season record of 48-34, faced off against the Boston Celtics, who boasted a record of 64-18, in a highly anticipated game that ended with the Cavaliers scoring 95 points to the Celtics' 120. The Cavaliers started strong in the first quarter with an impressive 34 points but struggled to maintain their momentum in the second quarter, adding only 15 points. They regained some ground in the third quarter with 28 points and concluded the fourth quarter with 18 points. Despite their efforts, they were unable to close the gap created by the Celtics' powerful offense.


Key statistics for the Cavaliers include shooting at a field goal percentage of 41 percent and making 11 out of 42 attempts from beyond the arc, translating to a three-point shooting percentage of just about 26 percent. From free throw line, they managed a better performance by converting ten out of thirteen attempts which rounds up to approximately a success rate of about seventy-seven percent. The team's effort on rebounds was notable as well; they secured forty-five rebounds during this game - thirty-one defensive and seven offensive.


On defense side for Cleveland was less effective than desired; they managed only three blocks and two steals throughout entire game. Their efficiency rating stood at eighty-four compared to Celtics' more dominant one hundred fifty-three rating indicating disparities in both teams’ performances on court.


The Boston Celtics demonstrated why they are one of top contenders this season by leading for majority time during match - forty-six minutes nine seconds precisely - and securing biggest lead twenty-six points against Cavs'. They excelled particularly from field where they had forty-nine percent shooting accuracy including eighteen successful three-point shots out fifty-nine percent effective field goal percentage which significantly contributed towards their win.
