The Cleveland Cavaliers faced off against the Chicago Bulls at United Center, resulting in a 119-112 loss for the Cavs. This game marked a challenging outing for Cleveland, bringing their pre-season record to 0-1. Meanwhile, the Bulls improved to 1-0 with this victory.

First Quarter

The opening quarter saw both teams locked in an intense battle, each scoring 32 points. The Cavs showcased their defensive prowess with Jarrett Allen leading with four blocks and one steal. Donovan Mitchell contributed significantly on offense, scoring efficiently and keeping pace with Chicago's attack.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, however, Cleveland struggled offensively, managing only 15 points compared to Chicago's 18. Evan Mobley was a bright spot for the Wine and Gold during this period as he continued to assert himself in both scoring and rebounding.

Third Quarter

The third quarter witnessed a resurgence from Cleveland as they scored an impressive 39 points. Donovan Mitchell again led by example with his sharp shooting from beyond the arc while maintaining solid defense alongside De'Andre Hunter who added crucial blocks and steals.

Fourth Quarter

Despite entering the final quarter trailing by just two points after their third-quarter surge, Cleveland couldn't maintain momentum against Chi's relentless offense which scored 32 points in this period alone. The Cavs' defense faltered under pressure allowing too many easy baskets inside.

Overall team statistics highlighted some key areas of concern for Cleveland; they shot just 41 percent from field goals while committing more turnovers than desired at critical moments of play which ultimately cost them dearly against such formidable opponents like Chi whose bench depth proved decisive contributing heavily towards securing victory here tonight!
