First Quarter

The game kicked off with an intense first quarter where the Cavs scored 33 points against the Hornets' 36. Donovan Mitchell led the charge for Cleveland with his sharp shooting and quick assists, setting an early tone for what would be a competitive match-up.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, Cleveland's offense gained momentum as they outscored Charlotte 37-27. Darius Garland showcased his playmaking abilities by contributing significantly to this surge with precise passes and crucial three-pointers that kept Buzz City on their toes.

Third Quarter

As both teams returned from halftime, the third quarter saw another close contest with Cleveland scoring 34 points compared to Charlotte's 32. Jarrett Allen made his presence felt under the basket by securing rebounds and blocking shots that thwarted several of Hive's attempts to close in on their lead.

Fourth Quarter

The final quarter was a nail-biter as both teams pushed hard offensively; however, it was Cavs' bench strength that shone through. With players like Dean Wade stepping up and adding valuable points off fast breaks and second-chance opportunities, Wine and Gold managed to maintain their edge over Buzz City until the buzzer sounded.

In this exciting matchup between two determined squads, it was ultimately Cleveland’s superior shooting accuracy—55 percent field goals—and strategic ball movement resulting in 36 assists that secured them victory over Charlotte’s equally impressive offensive display which included making half of their three-point attempts.
